$5,000 Sign-On Bonus

I. Major Responsibilities:
  1. Salaried clinicians are expected to work a specific number of hours per week, including clinical hours (billable activity), administrative time (treatment notes, meetings, supervision, etc.), education and training, and program operations. Attendance at staff meetings, supervisions, and the Quarterly All Staff meeting is required.
  2. Salaried staff are expected to meet productivity benchmarks and contribute to program development; represent the program/hospital at internal and external meetings; help coordinate certain specialized groups, programs, or activities; and develop new clinical or didactic skills to enhance treatment or increase staff knowledge.
  3. Electronic Medical Record will remain up-to-date, complete, professionally written, and in compliance with regulatory agencies.
  4. Contribute to a professional treatment setting by showing respect for clients, co-workers, the institution, and fostering an atmosphere without gossip and prejudice.
  5. Continuously seek information and develop professional skills to work with a broad range of disorders, and share knowledge of resources.
  6. Share responsibility to meet program needs, including working on-site at least one evening per week and maintaining presence during assigned hours. This may include covering groups/clients when another clinician is out, and handling walk-in clients.
  7. The Director approves all staff schedule changes, including remote work and schedule adjustments to meet client needs.
  8. Assignments beyond normal responsibilities that are well beyond the scheduled work-week may result in a reduction of productivity obligations, earned only through billable clinical service hours.
II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

  • Required: Graduation from an accredited graduate program with current unrestricted licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration: MA/MSW, PhD (L.I.C.S.W/L.M.H.C/L.M.F.T.).

Experience/Skills:

  • Required: 2 years of experience working with mental health and substance abuse disorders in a clinical setting.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide proficiency in the responsibilities may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies will be developed and maintained in individual departments, reviewed regularly, and attached to departmental job descriptions.

III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

On-the-job physical activities include walking (1/3), sitting (2/3), talking or hearing (2/3), and using hands to finger, handle, or feel (2/3).

Addendum for Clinical Social Worker LCSW in Palliative Care

Position Summary: Collaborates with the interdisciplinary treatment team for developing and delivering treatment and discharge plans for palliative care patients. Performs patient assessments, emotional support, family meetings, bereavement support, and manages complex care transitions.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct intake interviews with patients and families to develop psychosocial evaluations.
  2. Participate in treatment planning during initial and family meetings, coordinate discharge planning, and play a key role in case management. Collaborate with outpatient providers for treatment and discharge planning.
  3. Serve as a liaison between the palliative care team and social service, care coordination, community hospice, home care agencies, long-term care facilities, government agencies, and other community services. Develop referral networks as directed.
  4. Attend weekly interdisciplinary team meetings, contribute to cases and teaching, and provide training and continuing education for staff and students.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in hospital, long-term care, or hospice setting.
  • Must possess or actively work toward Palliative Care certification by the National Association of Social Workers upon hire.
