Job summary

Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital seeks a full-time social worker for our Residential Treatment Program serving youth aged 13-17 with serious mental illness and trauma histories.

Responsibilities include biopsychosocial assessments, admissions/discharges, individual/family therapy, group facilitation, and discharge planning. Missouri licensure required, LCSW preferred; provisional credentials considered.

Qualifications

• Degree and/or License in Social Work (MSW, LMSW, or LCSW). LCSW preferred.
• Provisionally and fully credentialed candidates must be licensed in Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments (initial and annual).
• Complete admission and discharge paperwork.
• Provide individual and family therapy and lead groups; document accordingly.
• Write monthly/weekly progress notes.
• Provide case management services; include discharge planning.
• Conduct suicide risk and other risk assessments as needed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to provide treatment.
• Participate in discharge and legal processes as necessary.
• Disseminate pertinent information to vested departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Prior experience serving youth and families with serious mental illness.
• Knowledge of DSM, evidence-based practices, ethics.

Sr. Clinical Caseworker (LMSW): $2,715.55 semi-monthly

Licensed Clinical Social Worker:$3,261.00 semi-monthly

Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital is seeking a full-time social worker for our Residential Treatment Program. Our Residential Program serves youth age 13-17 with serious mental illness often comorbid with a history of trauma.

Hawthorn Children’s Psychiatric Hospital uses the Sanctuary Model to guide our interactions with our teammates and the care we provide to our consumers to promote healing, safety, and nonviolence. This is accomplished by following the foundations of the Sanctuary Model to provide trauma informed and responsive care.

• ConductcomprehensiveBiopsychosocialAssessments(InitialandAnnual)
• Completeadmissionanddischarge paperwork.
• Provideindividual and family therapy and lead therapeutic groups, completing corresponding documentation.

• Degreeand/orLicenseinSocialWork(MSW,LMSW,orLCSW). LCSWpreferred butwill consider candidates who meet the minimum qualifications.
• Provisionallyandfullycredentialedcandidatesmustbeprofessionallylicensedin Missouri.
