Job summary

Backpack Healthcare is seeking a Kentucky-licensed mental health therapist for a remote, part-time role. You will conduct telehealth sessions with children, adolescents, and young adults, typically 15–22 per week, mostly 2:00–9:00 PM EST on weekdays, with weekend options.

You’ll create your schedule while we provide referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing. We offer a strong clinical team, EHR documentation, and ongoing professional growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active Kentucky independent license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT).
• Experience with children, adolescents, and families preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
• Trauma-informed, culturally responsive care.
• Bilingual English/Spanish encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments.
• Develop individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans.

What You'll Do

You'll provide 15–22 telehealth sessions per week, delivering individual and family therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults throughout Kentucky.

Most clinicians see clients during weekday afternoons and evenings (2:00–9:00 PM EST), with weekend availability welcomed.

You create your schedule—we provide the referrals, administrative support, billing, and credentialing.

Your day-to-day includes:

Conducting comprehensive behavioral health assessments

Developing individualized, trauma-informed treatment plans

Providing evidence-based individual and family therapy through secure telehealth

Collaborating with our interdisciplinary care team, including therapists, PMHNPs, psychiatrists, and care coordinators

Completing timely, accurate clinical documentation within our electronic health record (EHR)

Supporting families through education, collaboration, and coordinated care

What You'll Earn:

$50 per billable hour for independently licensed clinicians

Monthly bonus potential based on eligible clinical and performance metrics

What We’re Looking For

We're seeking clinicians who have:

An active Kentucky independent license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT)

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families—or a passion for serving this population

The ability to work independently in a virtual environment

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills

A commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care

Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
