This hands-on role requires reading maps, establishing survey control, and coordinating findings with engineers and clients. The ideal candidate holds an Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying with at least 3 years of field experience, is licensed in the state, and can operate transits, GPS and laser rangefinders.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying with at least 3 years of field experience.
• Must be licensed in the state.
• Must be able to operate measuring instruments such as transits, laser rangefinders and GPS.

Responsibilities

• Research previous survey evidence and records to obtain data for surveys.
• Determine methods for establishing survey control.
• Record shape, contour, location, elevation and dimensions of site.
• Maintain accuracy of surveying equipment.
• Coordinate findings with engineering, architectural personnel and client.
• Other duties as assigned.
