Job Title: Licensed Certified Social Worker - Psychiatry

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hiring a Licensed Certified Social Worker to work in the Psychiatric Research Institute's adult inpatient units. This position involves assisting patients and families, providing individual, group, and family therapy, and participating in discharge planning and other therapeutic activities.

Position Details:

• Work Schedule: Four 10-hour shifts (Sun-Wed or Wed-Sat)
• Type: Clinical Staff - Psychiatry, Regular
• Work Shift: Day Shift (United States of America)

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Social Work
• Licensed by the Arkansas Professional Board - Licensed Certified Social Worker (LCSW)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in acute adult mental health
• Two years of behavioral health experience
• CPR and CPI certification (required upon hire)

Responsibilities:

• Provide psychosocial assistance and crisis intervention
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans
• Assist with patient education, coping strategies, and community referrals
• Investigate child abuse or neglect cases when necessary
• Organize support groups and advocate for patients
