Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking a full-time Building Engineer to support our maintenance team in Prince George's County, Maryland.

You will operate, maintain, and repair mechanical systems in commercial and industrial facilities to ensure safe, efficient operations. The role requires a Maryland 1st Class Stationary Engineer license, 3 years of maintenance experience plus 2 years boiler/chiller experience, and proficiency with building automation systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years maintenance experience and 2 years boiler/chiller experience.
• Ability to operate building automation systems.
• Maryland 1st Class Stationary Engineer License (required).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and speak English clearly.
• Willingness to work overtime when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
• Handle HVAC tasks involving piping, motors, controllers, and chilled water.
• Maintain air handlers and mechanical equipment.
• Operate, repair, and maintain equipment including exhaust fans and refrigeration systems.
• Replace fire/smoke alarm detectors and sprinkler heads.
• Read blueprints and read/interpret layouts.
• Respond to emergencies and document records.
