Job summary

Cascades Containerboard Packaging in Piscataway, NJ is hiring a Black Seal Licensed Boiler Operator to safely operate and maintain the facility's boiler systems. The role requires compliance with NJ regulations and company safety standards, with day-to-day responsibilities on the boiler floor and in maintenance tasks.

The position offers full-time hours, a 12-hour shift (5pm-5am) with every other weekend off, and benefits including insurance, retirement plans, profit sharing, and referral

Qualifications

• New Jersey Black Seal High Pressure Boiler Operator License is required.
• Minimum 2 years of industrial boiler operation experience preferred.
• Knowledge of steam generation, feedwater systems, water treatment, fuel systems, and steam distribution.
• Ability to perform boiler startups, shutdowns, inspections, and emergency response procedures.
• Understanding of LOTO, OSHA safety requirements, and PPE standards.
• Experience maintaining operating logs and documenting work activities.
• Experience with SAP maintenance systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate boiler plant equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily inspections, water testing, blowdowns, and equipment checks.
• Respond to alarms and emergencies following established procedures.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and shift turnover communications.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
