Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a licensed mental health professional to join our inpatient psychiatric team. You will develop, implement and evaluate patient care plans, manage clients in crisis, and collaborate with guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery.

You will also write treatment and discharge plans, document care accurately, and provide patient education while maintaining strong communication with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant human services field (e.g., Social Work, Counseling, Psychology) from an accredited program.
• Full licensure in the applicable state is required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience is required.
• CPI and CPR training are required for psychotherapists working in inpatient psychiatric settings.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements and evaluates patient care according to identified needs.
• Manages clients in crisis utilizing appropriate therapeutic skills and assessment techniques.
• Writes appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age and clinical presentation; writes discharge plans and follows through with termination.
• Collaborates with guardians and community agencies to ensure effective service delivery.
• Completes patient care assignments with attention to detail and accuracy; documents patient care/response and billing information.
• Designs, plans, implements effective patient education.
• Maintains open lines of communication; collaborates with the healthcare team for patient outcomes.
