Job summary

Plains Area Mental Health Center is hiring a Licensed Therapist to join our Carroll office, working with a multidisciplinary team to provide outpatient counseling for children and adults. Qualifications

• Master's degree in a behavioral health field or related discipline.
• Iowa LMHC, LISW, or LMFT license required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health evaluations.
• Provide individual counseling for children and adults.
• Coordinate care with internal providers and community resources.
• Participate in treatment planning and clinical consultations.
• Maintain timely documentation and clinical records.
• Assist during crisis intervention situations as needed.
• Participate in paid on-call rotation.
• Mentor temporary licensed clinicians through supervision.

Position Overview

This full-time position provides outpatient counseling services for children and adults in a community mental health setting. Clinicians work Monday through Friday with one scheduled evening each week and enjoy a predictable schedule along with opportunities for hybrid work after onboarding.

Travel to nearby satellite offices may occasionally be required.

Primary Responsibilities

• Coordinate care with internal providers and community resources.
• Participate in treatment planning and clinical consultation.
