Job summary

Plains Area Mental Health Center in Iowa seeks a licensed therapist to join our Cherokee team and provide outpatient behavioral health services. This role supports children and adults with comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and coordinated care with a multidisciplinary team.

Salary ranges $60,000–$80,000 annually depending on experience, with a $3,000 bilingual differential. Hybrid schedule with up to two remote days per week, and full benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in psychology, social work, or related field.
• Iowa LMHC, LISW, or LMFT licensure required.
• Valid Iowa driver's license and auto insurance.

What You'll Do

• Conduct behavioral health assessments and diagnostic interviews for children and adults.
• Develop treatment plans and provide outpatient individual counseling.
• Collaborate with psychiatric providers, case managers, peer support specialists, and other members of our multidisciplinary care team.
• Respond to crisis situations and provide emergency behavioral health services when appropriate.
• Complete clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (additional compensation provided).
• Provide clinical supervision hours for temporary licensed clinicians pursuing full licensure.
