Job summary

OhioGuidestone in Ohio seeks a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor to provide assessments, treatment planning, therapy, and counseling for adults, adolescents, and families across telehealth, outpatient offices, and community settings.

Under supervision, you will support CPST, SUD Targeted Case Management, and therapeutic services, coordinate referrals, maintain documentation, and participate in supervision while upholding licensing and ethical standards.

Qualifications

• LCDC II, LCDC III or LSW, LPC, MFT license and related educational requirement.
• Master’s Degree from relevant accredited program; or
• Bachelor’s degree from relevant accredited program with 2 years’ experience in social work or counseling; or
• Bachelor’s Degree in a behavioral science or nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family and group counseling and psychotherapy to assigned caseload.
• Develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship with client, family, and caregivers.
• Respond to mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner.
• Identify appropriate interventions for clients in crisis and engage community partners.
• Coordinate referrals and arrange for appropriate community resources.
