Job summary

CVTC is seeking a Licensed Behavioral Health Clinician & Recovery Services Program Manager to lead and expand Tribal recovery services within a culturally grounded, trauma-informed framework. The role emphasizes clinical supervision, program development, and cross-department coordination in the Chickaloon Native Village area.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in a related field with 5–7 years of behavioral health experience, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Behavioral Health, or a related clinical field.
• 5 to 7 years of behavioral health clinical experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Tribal recovery services programs, guiding staff and clinical protocols.
• Coordinate integrated care and partnerships across departments and community services.
• Expand Chickaloon Native Village’s Recovery Services program with trauma-informed, culturally grounded approaches.
• Foster collaboration and ensure program compliance with licensing and standards.
• Support individuals and families on recovery journeys and outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with expertise in mental health and substance use treatment, clinical supervision, program development, and integrated care coordination. This individual will be comfortable building and enhancing programs, guiding staff, developing clinical protocols, and fostering strong partnerships across departments and community services. The successful candidate will embrace culturally grounded and trauma-informed approaches to care, demonstrate a commitment to supporting individuals and families on their recovery journeys, and possess the leadership skills needed to help shape and expand Chickaloon Native Village’s Recovery Services program. 5 to 7 years of behavioral health clinical experience preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

A valid Alaska Driver’s License is required for this position and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy. Must hold one of the following active Alaska clinical licenses: Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD).

Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check:

This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.

As allowed in P.L. 93-638, preference for employment will be given to Alaska Native and American Indian peoples. CVTC also applies family and local hiring preferences.
