Job summary

Chickaloon Village Tribal Council (CVTC) in Palmer, Alaska, is seeking a Tribal Child & Family Case Manager to provide case management, advocacy, and service coordination for families involved in child welfare proceedings. The role emphasizes culturally respectful resources and collaboration with Tribal and state systems.

The position is full-time (36 hours/week) with opportunities for training. A valid Alaska driver's license is required and the organization supports language and culture

Qualifications

• 2 to 3 years of experience is preferred. We are willing to provide training for CNV citizens.
• A bachelor’s degree in social work, or a related field is preferred, but can be substituted with two additional years of relevant experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and leadership skills; including the ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds; establish and maintain cooperative relationships and work successfully as a member of a team.
• Excellent time management, problem-solving and organizational skills, with a proven ability to meet sometimes competing deadlines while working independently and with others.
• Superb verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to function well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.

Certificates and Licenses

• A valid Alaska Driver’s license and the ability to be insured on CVTC’s vehicle insurance policy is a requirement of this position.

Pre-Employment Drug Screening and Background Check

• This position requires you to complete and pass a pre-employment state and federal background check and drug screening as a condition of employment.
