Job summary

Trimmed Barbershop in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking a Licensed Barber to deliver thoughtful grooming services and create a welcoming experience for every client. You’ll use your barbering skills, clear communication, and strong sanitation habits to help clients feel confident and cared for.

As a Licensed Barber, you'll deliver thoughtful, skilled grooming services and create a welcoming experience for every client. You'll use your barbering expertise, strong communication, and attention to sanitation to help clients feel confident and cared for. Your impact: By listening closely and recommending suitable services, you help clients achieve styles that fit their needs and maintain healthy hair.

Duties

• Provide barbering services, including haircuts, styling, straight-razor shaves, hair care, and hair threading, while following sanitation practices.
• Consult with clients about their preferences; apply color theory when recommending hair coloring, and discuss options such as hair extensions, makeup application, and nail care when appropriate.
• Deliver attentive customer service and clear client communication; explain service options and use thoughtful upselling without pressure.
• Schedule appointments and maintain client records using salon software; MINDBODY experience is helpful.
• Support store management and mentor colleagues as needed.

Experience

• Required: Current barber license for the applicable jurisdiction, strong barbering skills, and clear communication.
• Experience working in the beauty industry is preferred, along with familiarity with hair styling, hair coloring, and cosmetology.
• Salon software experience is useful; MINDBODY knowledge is a plus.
• Additional skills such as hair extensions, hair threading, makeup application, and nail care are welcome, but are not required.
• Bring a client-focused approach, reliable sanitation habits, and interest in mentoring or supporting daily operations.
