Who S Next in Connecticut is seeking a Barber / Hair Stylist to join our neighborhood shop. You will provide barbering and grooming services, and help keep the shop welcoming and well organized.

You will consult with clients on options, maintain sanitation, and may support salon services and retail based on your skills and the shop's needs.

Competenze

• Cosmetology or barbering license required where applicable.
• Experience in the beauty industry and customer service valued.
• Knowledge of salon software MINDBODY is a plus.

Mansioni

• Provide barbering and hair styling, straight razor services, coloring and related care.
• Consult with clients, explain options and guide styling choices.

Job Description

Join our barber shop team and help clients look and feel their best through attentive service and skilled grooming.

You'll provide barbering and hair care services, communicate clearly about client preferences, and help keep daily shop operations welcoming and organized. This role may also support salon services and retail, based on your skills and the shop's needs.

Duties

• Provide hair styling, barbering, straight razor services, hair coloring, threading, and hair care; support hair extensions, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care when qualified.
• Consult with clients, explain service options, and use color theory to guide suitable styling and coloring choices.
• Maintain clean tools and work areas, follow sanitation practices, and assist with front desk tasks and salon software, including MINDBODY where used.
• Support retail sales, upselling, retail math, and store management; mentor teammates when appropriate.

Experience

• Experience working in the beauty industry and demonstrated customer service, communication, and client communication skills are valued.
• Cosmetology or barbering training and relevant licensing are required where applicable by local regulations.
• Hair styling, hair care, straight razor, hair coloring, and sanitation skills are important; familiarity with color theory is helpful.
• Salon software, MINDBODY, front desk, retail sales, retail math, and store management experience are preferred.
• Skills in hair extensions, hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, nail care, upselling, or mentoring are welcome.
