Job Description

As a Licensed Hairstylist, you'll help clients look and feel their best through thoughtful consultations and skilled salon services.

You'll bring together hair care expertise, creativity, and attentive customer service to recommend styles that fit each client's needs. You'll also support smooth salon operations, maintain a clean and sanitary workspace, and contribute to a welcoming experience from the front desk to the styling chair. Your impact: Clear client communication and personalized recommendations help clients choose services and care routines that suit their goals.

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients and perform hair styling, cutting, coloring, and other services within your license and skill set.

• Support retail sales through relevant product recommendations and appropriate upselling.
• Use salon software, including MINDBODY where applicable, to support appointments and front-desk tasks.
• Follow sanitation practices and assist with store management; mentor team members when appropriate.

Experience

• Required: Current hairstylist or cosmetology license applicable to the role.
• Experience working in the beauty industry and strong customer service, communication, and client communication skills are important.
• Additional skills may include makeup application, eyelash extensions, and nail care, depending on services offered.
• Familiarity with retail math and salon software is helpful; MINDBODY experience is a plus.
• Straight-razor skills, barbering, mentoring, and store management experience are preferred, not required.
