Job summary

Froedtert Health in Milwaukee, WI, is seeking a Licensed Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive athletic health care for MSOE student-athletes. The role requires days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with a hybrid work arrangement at the WI ATHLETIC CLUB-WAUWATOSA facility.

The athletic trainer will implement injury prevention, evaluate and treat injuries, and coordinate rehabilitation under a physician's protocol. Licensure and board certification are required, with BLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Athletic Training program or a related field is required.
• State of Wisconsin licensure as an Athletic Trainer is required.
• Certification as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) is required.
• American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide athletic training services for MSOE student-athletes; injury prevention, evaluation, treatment and rehabilitation.
• Deliver emergency care or first aid for injuries during physical activity; participate in department activities to enhance patient/athlete care.
• Adhere to protocol approved by consulting physician and perform other duties as assigned.

Athletic Trainer to provide athletic training services for Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) student-athletes. Days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends required.

Job Summary

The Licensed Athletic Trainer provides comprehensive athletic health care in accordance with an evaluation and treatment protocol that is established by the athletic trainer and approved by the consulting physician. The athletic training services include: injury or illness prevention programs; evaluation, management, treatment and rehabilitation of injuries or illness sustained during physical activity; and giving emergency care or first aid for an injury or illness sustained while participating in physical activity. The Licensed Athletic Trainer participates in other department activities designed to enhance patient/athlete care and programs. Other duties as assigned.
