Demonstrates advanced evaluation and treatment skills and is involved in interdisciplinary collaboration, program development, staff education, and patient education. Also demonstrates emerging leadership skills and mentors department staff.
A minimum of two years of experience meeting requirements of Level I responsibilities as determined by interview and assessment is required.
Bachelor’s or Master's degree from an accredited Athletic Training program is required.
Must be proficient at all AT level 1 competencies. Maintain productivity level and have the potential to take on additional responsibilities. May require clinical expertise in specific discipline.
State of Wisconsin licensure as an Athletic Trainer is required. Certification as an Athletic Trainer by the Board of Certification (BOC) is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
