Job summary

West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Deltona, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate bedside care to residents. You will administer medications, monitor conditions, and collaborate with physicians to support daily treatments.

This full-time role requires a Florida LPN license, CPR certification, and at least 2 years in long-term care. You’ll document care, participate in care plans, assist with admissions and transfers, and help maintain infection control

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid LPN license in Florida.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in long-term care or related settings.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and accurately record medications and treatments.
• Assist physicians and healthcare professionals with diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Observe and report residents’ vital signs, symptoms, and general condition.
• Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents.
• Document care in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and facility policies.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
• Support CNAs and nursing staff to maintain high-quality patient care.
• Participate in care plan meetings and contribute to resident assessments.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
• Perform other job-related duties as needed.
