The Clapp Memorial Library is seeking two part-time Library Technicians to assist with customer service and daily circulations tasks. Each position works about 12 hours per week and involves checking materials in/out, assisting patrons, and processing holds and notices.
Ideal candidates have high school education (or equivalent) with library exposure and strong communication skills. Training and support will be provided; applicants should be ready to work varied shifts.
Library Technicians Part‑Time
The Clapp Memorial Library is looking to fill two part‑time Library Technician positions. Library Technicians play a key role in providing customer service to our patrons and assisting with the daily operations of the circulation department. Each part‑time position will work about 12 hours per week.
High School education; two years of college work; previous library experience required; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Ability to deal with the public in a courteous and tactful manner and maintain professional demeanor and composure at a busy public service desk. Ability to follow instructions and complete projects with minimal supervision. Previous experience at a library circulation desk strongly preferred.

These are non-benefitted positions with a starting wage of $26.30 per hour.
Scheduled shifts will include some combination of the following: Mondays 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Tuesdays 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., Wednesdays 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Thursdays 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., and Fridays 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., along with at least one Saturday per month from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
