Job summary

San Diego State University is seeking a Systems Administrator II to support the library's Ex Libris Alma and Primo platforms and cloud-based library systems. You will configure, optimize, and integrate services, collaborating with Library faculty, CSU colleagues, and vendors to deliver reliable user-focused services for teaching, learning, and research.

This role offers on-site and telecommuting options, with standard hours and the potential for hybrid work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting or administering library systems (e.g., Alma, Primo) or equivalent enterprise platforms.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, or analytics tools.
• Experience with system integrations, data workflows, or data exchange technologies (XML/JSON, APIs).
• Ability to provide technical training, documentation, or user support.

Responsibilities

• Library Systems Administration: configure and optimize Ex Libris Alma and Primo.
• Systems Integration & Support: assist integrations with campus apps, identity management, and auth services.
• Evaluate enhancements, coordinate testing, and improve system performance with vendors.
• Develop reports, analyze data, and identify workflow improvements.
• Contribute to ongoing library technology enhancements and user experience.
