Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Federal Work Study Student for the Office of Student Government and Leadership Development at the Henderson Campus. This CSN Libraries role offers up to 20 hours per week with an hourly rate of $14.

You will check materials in/out, shelve items, issue library cards, and assist patrons and staff. Eligibility requires FAFSA completion and CSN financial aid basics, enrollment in at least 6 credits, and CSN employment eligibility.

Qualifications

• Computer experience required.
• Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed.
• Ability to push heavy book carts up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time.
• Dependability and punctuality are a must.

Responsibilities

• Check library materials in and out to library users using automated library information systems.
• Shelve library materials multiple times a day, performing shelf-reading and dusting of assigned sections as scheduled.
• Issue new and replacement library cards to patrons.
• Answer and transfer calls on multi-line phone.
• Assist walk-in students in the use of general office equipment, printing and/or various computer related issues.
• Perform daily cleaning and dusting.
• Additional duties as assigned.
