Job summary

College of Southern Nevada is seeking a Federal Work Study Student for the Office of Student Government and Leadership Development at the Henderson Campus. This CSN Libraries role offers up to 20 hours per week with an hourly rate of $14.

You will check materials in/out, shelve items, issue library cards, and assist patrons and staff. Eligibility requires FAFSA completion and CSN financial aid basics, enrollment in at least 6 credits, and CSN employment eligibility.

Qualifications

• Computer experience required.
• Ability to alphabetize with accuracy and speed.
• Ability to push heavy book carts up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, stoop, stand, and/or sit for long periods of time.
• Dependability and punctuality are a must.

Responsibilities

Eligibility

Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply. Students must show a financial aid eligible major declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar, meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term, and display degree‑compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired. Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment. Students cannot work another part‑time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.
