Job summary

The City of San Antonio is seeking a Security Guard II for the Central Library location. Under direct supervision, you will patrol facilities, supervise security staff, and coordinate with contractors to ensure safety and order.

Responsibilities include monitoring CCTV and fire alarms, investigating incidents, and enforcing access control. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, three years of security experience, and a Texas driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Texas TEA recognized).
• Three years' security experience.
• Valid Class C Texas Driver's License.
• Security Guard Certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, briefs, and dispatches contract security as required.
• Trains and instructs security staff as needed.
• Monitors CCTV and fire alarm systems.
• Investigates incidents and activities.
• Patrols assigned areas to deter hazards and report incidents.
• Monitors entry/exit points and conducts cash counts as needed.
• Maintains inventory of equipment.
• Performs related duties as required.
