Job summary

IMDiversity Inc. is seeking a Library Associate for multiple openings at Milwood, St. John's, and Menchaca Road branches in Austin, TX.

Under limited supervision, you will support daily library operations, assist patrons, manage holds, and help with programs and outreach. Qualifications include an associate degree plus one year of related experience; substitution allows up to two years. Must handle cash and operate library systems and Microsoft Office; capable of working in a diverse community

Qualifications

• Associate degree plus one year of related experience; substitution allowed for up to two years.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, walk, and reach up to 6 feet; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets and welcomes customers at the library desks.
• Checks materials in and out and assists with holds and shelving.
• Assists with public programming and outreach engagements.
• Responds to inquiries in-person, by phone, or online; refers complex questions to librarians.
