Job summary

The Town of Needham's Needham Free Public Library is seeking a part-time Library Page to support shelving, clerical tasks, and patron assistance. The role reports to the Library Children’s Supervisor and requires accuracy, reliability, and a teamwork mindset.

Shifts total 16 hours weekly (Mon Tue Thu Fri 9am-1pm). Primary duties include shelving books and AV materials, retrieving items, processing returns, and packing materials for delivery, with a focus on order and accessibility for patrons.

Qualifications

• Shelving books and audiovisual materials with accuracy.
• Familiarity with alpha-numeric shelving order.
• General office procedures knowledge and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Shelve library materials such as books and audiovisual items.
• Retrieve items from shelves using lists or reports.
• Empty book drop materials and prepare items for delivery.
• Pack bins with library materials for deliveries.
