Job summary

The Burlington Public Library in Burlington, MA seeks a part-time Circulation Clerk to join the busy public desk and support the Circulation Department. Work includes reshelving materials, pulling books as directed, and maintaining neat shelves, with a focus on service to the public.

Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Friday 10am–1pm and Saturday 2–5:15pm, with potential for overtime on Sundays and summer Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
• Reliability and ability to work independently.
• Experience working with the public.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be able to move loaded book carts and reach all shelves to a six-foot level, with or without a stool.

Responsibilities

• Reshelve library materials.
• Pull books from shelves as directed.
• Keep shelves neat and in good order.
• Perform other tasks requiring similar levels of skill and responsibility as assigned.
