Job summary

Needham Free Public Library in Needham, MA is seeking a part-time Library Page to assist with shelving, shelf maintenance, and pulling materials for patrons. Reporting to the Library Children’s Supervisor, the role supports early literacy programs and day-to-day operations.

Schedule is 16 hours per week, with shifts Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 9 am to 1 pm. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, able to work independently or as part of a team, and committed to excellent

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of alpha-numeric order to shelve books.
• General knowledge of standard office procedures, practices, forms, and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Skill in interpersonal and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Shelve library materials such as books and audio visual materials.
• Retrieve items from shelves using lists or reports.
• Empty book drop materials returned to the library from the outside and inside of the building.
• Pack bins with library materials to go in deliveries.
