Job summary

Albright College in Reading, PA is seeking a full-time Library Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the new library building and to establish practices for the space that support teaching, learning, collaboration, and campus engagement.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, developing workflows, coordinating programming for classes and campus events, and ensuring a welcoming, accessible library environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations and logistical needs of the library building.
• Supervise, train, and schedule staff, including student workers.
• Develop and implement operational practices, procedures, and workflows.
• Coordinate programming and events for classes, students, faculty, staff, and campus.
• Outreach to students, faculty, and staff to promote library programs and spaces.
• Collaborate with faculty and departments to support academic programming.
• Oversee room usage, scheduling, supplies, and equipment.
• Ensure the library is welcoming, accessible, organized, and responsive.
• Identify and address facilities and operational concerns in coordination with College departments.
• Perform other duties related to library operation and programming.
