Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a Warehouse Assistant for the UT Libraries at the Pickle Research Campus in North Austin. You will move library materials, operate an order picker, and update locations in the inventory system.

This role requires OSHA certification within the first week of employment and a 40-hour weekly schedule. The position is on-site with duties across storage and preservation areas and routine data recording.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow directions closely and meet deadlines.
• Capable of repetitive, detail-oriented tasks.
• Experience with data entry on laptop or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Operate order picker to access and shelve library materials.
• Physically transport items using wheeled carts or pallet jacks.
• Update item locations in the inventory system and paper logs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
