Job summary

Calaveras County Transportation Division is seeking a reliable Transportation Driver to support the County Library's material delivery operations across the county. You will transport books and media between branches, loading and unloading as needed, and ensure secure handling of all items.

Under supervision, you will follow departmental schedules, perform routine vehicle safety checks, and assist with related duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid California driver's license is required.
• Demonstrated safe driving record is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Transports library materials between branches and designated locations.
• Assists with loading, unloading, and securing materials during transit.
• Maintains safety and security of materials and staff during transport.
• Handles materials carefully and may assist with organization or sorting.
• Ensures deliveries follow schedules and timelines; performs routine vehicle safety checks.
• May support related operational tasks as needed.
