Job summary

Jackson County Library District is seeking a Library Clerk to manage high-volume materials processing and ensure customers access well-organized materials with prompt delivery services. You will provide indirect customer service to the public, coworkers, volunteers, and management while maintaining adult, teen, and children collections.

The role involves shelving, holds processing, searching for missing items, and assisting in daily library operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic knowledge of computers and office software.
• Knowledge of library services and reference resources.

Responsibilities

• Maintain order and accuracy of library collections through shelving and shelf-reading.
• Process daily holds and prepare materials for pickup.
• Search for missing titles/materials and update records.
• Maintain newspaper and magazine collections.
• Mend library materials following procedures.
• Participate in activities to keep library open and operational.
• Attend work regularly and perform other duties as assigned.
