Job summary

Jackson County Library District is seeking a Library Associate in White City, Oregon. The role focuses on front-line customer service at the Circulation desk and related paraprofessional duties to support library operations.

Responsibilities include registering patrons, issuing cards, checking in/out materials, processing holds, and assisting with programs and outreach for all ages. A bilingual Spanish skill is preferred and may unlock a stipend per policy.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of library experience (preferred).
• Bilingual in Spanish (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Welcomes and registers patrons, issues library cards, checks in/out materials, and manages patron accounts.
• Processes holds, requests, transfers, and updates statuses for materials.
• Assists patrons with locating materials using computers and interlibrary resources.
• May assist with library programming and outreach for all ages, including storytime.
• Keeps shelves organized and materials checked in/out; escalates safety issues as needed.
