Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program is required.
• Minimum of four years in a progressively responsible upper-management role in a library or related field.
• Experience with program creation and implementation.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily library operations, employees, contractors, and volunteers.
• Plan, develop, and implement library programs for children, teens, adults, and families.
• Monitor and develop library collections based on community needs.
• Oversee cataloging, selection, and processing of materials.
• Prepare and manage the library’s annual budget, grants, and related financial activities.
• Coordinate Library Advisory Board meetings and strategic initiatives.
• Lead the Library’s 5-Year Strategic Plan and community outreach efforts.
• Build partnerships with City departments, schools, community groups, and other stakeholders.
• Supervise and develop assigned staff.
• Promote a welcoming, professional, and customer-focused environment.
