Job summary

Library Systems & Services (LS&S) seeks a Library Director to lead the Camarillo Library, ensuring contract compliance and exceptional community service. You will oversee day-to-day operations, guide staff development, and cultivate relationships with local officials and partners.

Reporting to the VP, Operations, you will translate strategic goals into actionable plans, monitor performance metrics, and uphold library standards while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for patrons and staff.

Qualifications

• MLS/MLIS or equivalent is required.
• Four years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Five years of progressive library management/administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and ensure contract requirements are met.
• Develop staff and provide coaching to achieve service goals.
• Manage relationships with local officials, boards, and partners.
• Monitor library performance metrics and implement improvements.
• Oversee collection development within budget and policy guidelines.
