Job summary

The Dauphin County Library System is seeking a Library Manager for the East Shore Library in Harrisburg, PA. This regular full-time role oversees two locations, directing staff to deliver an exceptional user experience and promoting library programs and policies.

The position requires an MLS degree (or 2-4 years equivalent experience), two years of supervisory experience, and availability for a 37.5-hour work week with some evenings and weekends. Travel to outreach locations is required.

Qualifications

• MLS degree recognized by The Office of Commonwealth Libraries/PA Department of Education program preferred or 2-4 years of equivalent experience required
• Two years’ supervisory experience required; technology experience required
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and communication skills
• Requires independent transportation for travel to libraries, programs, and outreach locations; must be able to lift 25 lbs.
