Job summary

The Addison Public Library is seeking an IT System Administrator to manage the library’s client devices, servers, and computer network. The role involves hands-on support, system maintenance, and opportunities to implement new technologies.

You will spend about 70% of time on client devices and IT tickets, with on-call flexibility and occasional shifts outside normal hours. We offer generous paid time off, 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision coverage (with family options), tuition

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of work experience in computer or information science.
• Completion of (or considerable progress in) A+ and Network+ Certification is preferred.
• Available for IT network/system deployment, maintenance, and emergencies during evening and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operation of the library’s client devices, servers, and computer network.
• Spend ~70% of time on client devices and responding to IT tickets.
• Assume system management responsibilities and implement new technologies.
• Collaborate with staff and provide on-call support as needed.
