Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, seeks a Customer Service Supervisor to oversee the Learning Commons' nine CSSI staff and related frontline operations.

The role designs training, schedules, and performance evaluations, ensures welcoming service, manages book stacks, lockers, and lost/found, and coordinates emergency response when needed. It requires a four-year degree or equivalent experience and strong public-service mindset.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent years of experience in account management, customer service, or library work.
• Two plus years of supervisor/management experience.
• Strong commitment to public service.
• Knowledge of library services such as research/technology assistance, resource organization, and library spaces.
• Effective communication both verbally and in writing.
• Excellent computer and organizational skills.
• Must lift up to 20 pounds.
• Must be 21+ with valid driver's license and five years driving history.

Responsabilités

• Supervises, trains, and evaluates the CSSI position and maintains department manual.
• Writes and manages schedules for department student employees and CSSIs.
• Maintains book stacks, lockers, and lost/found for easy access by customers.
• Completes new hire paperwork, onboarding/termination procedures, and evaluations.
• Provides shift supervision during nights/weekends and ensures safety during >100 hours of operation.
• Analyzes data to maintain an organized environment for study and research.
• Fosters an equitable and inclusive environment and stays current with technology.
• Works with LU mission as a team member.
