Job summary

Jackson George County Regional Library System is seeking a dedicated part-time Custodian for Ina Thompson Moss Point Library. You will maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patrons, perform daily/weekly cleaning tasks, and support staff with setup and basic maintenance.

The position requires physical activity, adherence to safety procedures, and a probationary period with annual evaluations. Benefits are not included, and eligibility is limited.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic cleaning.
• Frequent bending, crouching, reaching, lifting 20-50 lbs.
• Follow safety standards and reports hazards.

Responsibilities

• Clean library facility including restrooms, lobby, offices, meeting rooms, storage and staff areas.
• Maintain grounds adjacent to building and dispose of trash.
• Move and set up furniture and equipment as directed.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and report needs to Library Manager.
• Provide courteous and energetic service to patrons.
