Job summary

The Illinois Heartland Library System (IHLS) invites a customer service oriented Courier Driver to join our team on a full-time, four-day schedule. The position runs Monday through Thursday from 4 a.m. to 2 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week and subject to change based on business needs.

Pay is $17.72 per hour, with benefits for full-time staff. As a Courier Driver, you will deliver books and library materials between member libraries and designated locations, loading, unloading, and sorting items

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3-year driver’s license is required.
• Must be 25 years old or older for corporate auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver books and materials to member libraries on a daily route.
• Load and unload materials and sort according to location codes.
• Operate a delivery van and comply with safety procedures while on the route.
