Job summary

University of California, Riverside seeks an Orbach Collection Maintenance & Student Project Coordinator to assist in locating missing materials, supervise student assistants, and coordinate collection maintenance tasks.

The position is based at the Orbach Science Library with possible hours at the Rivera Library. Schedule is 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for staffing needs. Salary ranges from mid 60k to mid 90k annually, with a detailed salary range provided by the University.

Qualifications

• The role requires general knowledge of library practices and procedures.
• Experience assisting in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating student assistants is preferred.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional flexible hours for staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Searches for materials patrons or library staff cannot locate, advises on search results, and refers to other departments when appropriate.
• Assists in directing student assistants to maintain efficient workflow in Collection Maintenance.
• Primary duties at Orbach Science Library with potential hours at Rivera Library as needed.
