Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College seeks a Student Assistant Supervisor/Circulation Technician to hire, train, and supervise student circulation assistants and staff the Circulation Desk. You will ensure orderly lending, returns, and access to library materials while supporting other library departments.

You will also supervise in supervisors' absence and coordinate with Financial Aid, Business office, and Public Safety as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of related experience.
• At least one year of customer service experience.
• At least 6 months of supervisory experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings or weekends.
• Working knowledge of computers, email, spreadsheets, and word processing; MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Hire and supervise hourly student assistants and schedule shifts.
• Staff the Circulation Desk and manage lending operations.
• Train staff on policies, confidentiality, and library systems.
• Assist patrons and resolve accounts, fines, and holds.
• Oversee circulation operations in supervisors' absence and support other library departments.
