Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is consolidating selected library collections into a high-density storage facility. The Catalog Maintenance Associate will supervise daily catalog corrections, verify inventory accuracy, and collaborate with project stakeholders to keep operations on track.

Working onsite, you will use Alma and Google apps (Sheets, Meet, Gmail) to support the consolidation effort. This is a two-year project with emphasis on precision, data integrity, and timely workflow

Qualifications

Familiarity with identifying bibliographic and call-number information from physical materials.
Aptitude for accuracy, handling detailed data, and multistep workflows.
Ability to follow procedures independently and in a team setting.
Experience in recognizing problems and seeking input for process improvement.
Strong time management and task prioritization.

Responsibilities

Catalog maintenance: verify inventory and bibliographic data, edit records to ensure data integrity.
Operate within Alma and related Google applications to support consolidation project workflows.
Monitor routing of catalog exceptions and ensure timely return to active project workflows.
