Job summary

St Tammany Parish Library in Slidell seeks a Librarian III - Slidell Branch Manager to oversee daily operations, scheduling, staff supervision, and patron services. Responsibilities include performing administrative duties and covering any staff role as needed.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program.
• Minimum of three years of librarian experience.
• Minimum of two years managing a library facility of comparable size to the Slidell branch.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Train new employees and retrain staff on policies and procedures.
• Arrange staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage and service.
• Motivate, coach, and evaluate employees to maintain performance.
• Ensure payroll and leave records are accurate and timely.
• Oversee branch activities and resolve patron issues.
• Proctor exams.
• Oversee daily branch operations for efficient service.
