Job summary

York County Library in Clover, SC, seeks a Branch Manager for the Clover Public Library to supervise and direct daily operations, deliver excellent customer service, and build strong community partnerships. The role requires MLS/MLIS, 3–5 years in a supervisory library role, and willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

MLS/MLIS degree required.
Three to five years of post MLS/MLIS experience in library services in a supervisory capacity.
Ability to work a schedule that includes evenings and weekends.
Experience with computers and digital technology is preferred.
Customer service and problem-solving skills are valued.
Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Supervise, plan, and direct the Clover Public Library branch operations and programming.
Lead and model exceptional customer service and collaborate with the department.
Build community relationships and partnerships to represent the library locally.
Guide staff in developing programs, manage the budget, and handle collection development.
Maintain an attractive, welcoming space and contribute to YCL's management team.
Perform other duties to ensure effective library services and operations.
