Job summary

Maricopa County Library District seeks a Library Supervisor for the North Valley Regional Library to lead staff, partner with community organizations, and plan engaging programs while delivering excellent customer service.

This role supports the Branch Manager and helps manage scheduling, staff development, and branch operations; a Master’s in Library Science is required, along with at least one year of professional library experience.

Qualifications

• One year of professional library experience.
• Supervisory experience.
• Public library experience.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, trains, supervises, and evaluates branch staff.
• Plans and conducts public programs and displays.
• Provides excellent customer service and assists with digital devices.
• Schedules staff and authorizes leave to ensure equitable staffing.
• Contributes to branch goals, policies, and procedures.
• Identifies needs and suggests improvements for branch operations.
• Coordinates with local schools for safety and outreach.
• Represents the branch in the absence of the Large Branch Manager.
• Serves as liaison to external organizations and committees.
