Job summary

The State of Delaware invites applications for a Library Associate to provide library services within a DSCYF secure facility, supporting education and personal growth for students and staff. Duties include processing requests, assisting with research and reading needs, maintaining library resources, and collaborating with facility and education staff.

While assigned to one facility, the associate assists across the library team as needed.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Library/Info Science, English, Education, CS or related field.
• Knowledge of organizing and coordinating library services and programs.
• Knowledge of customer service and responding to requests promptly.
• Knowledge of narrative report writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides library services within a DSCYF secure facility to support education and personal growth.
• Processes requests, assists with research and reading needs, and maintains library resources.
• Collaborates with facility and education staff and assists the Administrative Librarian on projects.
• Supports students, educators, staff, and library personnel department-wide as needed.
• Participates in ongoing professional development and stays current with information technologies.
