Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of library methods and procedures.
• Library administrative training or the ability to complete training upon hire.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and assist library guests in person, by phone, and through email.
• Check out library materials, process returned items, and register guests for library privileges.
• Assist staff and tribal community members with reading and research materials.
• Provide basic computer and internet instruction to guests.
• Help maintain the library's physical collection and supplies.
• Maintain the computerized catalog and circulation database.
• Catalog and process new library materials.
• Sort, file, and shelve library materials; repair damaged items.
• Operate standard office equipment and follow JST policies.
