Job summary

The East Fishkill Public Library has a full-time Library Assistant position focused on Community Engagement and Adult Services. You will assist the Adult Librarian, Assistant Director, and Director in delivering programs and services while engaging with patrons on site.

The role emphasizes strong communication, multitasking, attention to detail, and tech troubleshooting as you support a busy public library floor and coordinate community events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Experience supporting community programs and adult services preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines in a public library setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with community and adult programs, including planning and setup.
• Provide one-on-one tech help to patrons and coordinate digital literacy efforts.
• Produce and manage flyers, social posts, and online calendar entries for programs.
