Job summary

Las Vegas-Clark County Library District in Las Vegas, NV is hiring two part-time Library Aide I positions at the West Las Vegas Library. You will assist with lending, returns, and basic customer service, including check-out/check-in and helping patrons with resources.

You will also support programs, perform clerical tasks, and learn library systems along with access to printers, copiers, scanners, and self-checks. Training is provided; schedule details are listed in the posting.

Qualifications

• Completion of tenth (10th) grade in secondary education.
• 6 months of customer service experience.
• Ability to learn Library of Congress Classification System.
• Basic office procedures and arithmetic.

Responsibilities

• Sorts and reshelves returned books, periodicals, and other materials.
• Assists customers with check-out and check-in.
• Works with Integrated Library System (ILS) and library resources including printers, copiers, return machines, self-checks, scanners.
• Provides instruction in the utilization of library resources.
• Supports library programs.
• Performs routine clerical tasks such as answering phones.
• Other duties as assigned.
